BASE PILATES COLLECTIVE
Bookings, memberships and studio policies.
At BASE Pilates Collective, we aim to provide a welcoming, supportive and professional Pilates experience. Our small-group classes have a maximum of eight participants. These terms apply to bookings and purchases, subject to your rights under Australian Consumer Law and applicable Western Australian legislation.
All classes must be booked in advance through our online booking system. Bookings are subject to availability and limited to eight participants.
Memberships and class packs are for individual use and cannot be shared or transferred without BASE approval. Keep your contact details up to date to receive booking notifications.
Classes commencing before 8.00am require at least 8 hours’ notice. Classes commencing at or after 8.00am require at least 4 hours’ notice. Cancellations must be made through the booking system.
For late cancellations, class-pack clients forfeit the booked class and limited-membership clients have the booking deducted from their weekly allowance. Unlimited members may incur a late-cancellation fee only if the amount has been disclosed before booking.
Clients who do not attend without cancelling may incur a separately disclosed no-show fee. Applicable fees must be displayed before implementation.
When a class is full, clients may join the online waitlist. If a place becomes available, notifications and confirmation follow the booking system’s stated procedures. Once a place is confirmed, the applicable cancellation policy applies.
Please arrive around five minutes early. For safety and to avoid disruption, entry may be refused if a client arrives more than five minutes after class begins. The booking may then be treated as missed.
BASE may substitute an appropriately qualified instructor due to illness, unforeseen circumstances or operational needs, and will notify clients where practical.
BASE may cancel or reschedule classes due to instructor unavailability, equipment or building issues, insufficient bookings or other unforeseen circumstances. Clients will be notified promptly. Deducted class credits will be restored, with refunds or other remedies provided where legally required.
BASE may cancel a group class with fewer than three participants. Where practicable, at least two hours’ notice will be given, with earlier notice for morning classes. BASE may choose to proceed with fewer participants.
Weekly membership fees are charged to the nominated payment method until the membership is cancelled under the applicable terms. Clients must maintain valid payment details. Any failed-payment fees must be disclosed in advance.
The discounted BASE Build + Membership is available to clients aged 65 years and over. It may be used across the BASE timetable, subject to the member’s individual experience, physical capabilities, class suitability, the purchased membership allowance and availability. Instructors may recommend an alternative class where it would better support a client’s needs and abilities. BASE Build + and BASE Build + Breathe classes are designed for clients aged 60 years and over; clients aged 60–64 may book these classes using a standard membership, class pack or casual booking, subject to individual suitability. Eligibility to attend a Build + class does not confer eligibility for discounted membership pricing. Proof of age may be requested.
Ongoing weekly memberships may be cancelled with seven days’ written notice to hello@basepilatescollective.com.au. BASE will acknowledge cancellation requests in writing within seven days. Any amounts lawfully payable up to the effective cancellation date remain payable.
New membership agreements are subject to applicable cooling-off rights, including the seven-day period under the WA Fitness Industry Code of Practice. Refunds and deductions will comply with the law.
Membership suspensions: Members may request up to four weeks of suspension per calendar year, in blocks of at least seven consecutive days. Planned suspensions require at least seven days’ notice and can be requested through the Member Services tab on the BASE website.
Membership payments pause during an approved suspension, and membership benefits and bookings cannot be used during that period. Payments resume at the end of the approved period. Unused suspension weeks do not carry forward.
Requests for additional suspension due to illness, injury, surgery or exceptional circumstances are considered individually. Reasonable supporting documentation may be requested. Statutory cancellation and refund rights are unaffected. For assistance, email hello@basepilatescollective.com.au.
Five-class packs are valid for two months from purchase; ten-class packs are valid for six months. Packs are individual, subject to the standard cancellation policy and not transferable without approval.
Unused classes are not automatically refundable or extendable for change of mind. Exceptional extensions may be considered, without limiting statutory rights.
BASE Begin and BASE Birdie are structured four-week programmes. Places are limited, with payment required to secure a booking.
Missed sessions do not guarantee a make-up class; BASE may offer an alternative where practical. Clients wishing to withdraw should contact BASE as early as possible. Transfers, credits and refunds are governed by the conditions disclosed at purchase and applicable consumer law. If BASE cancels a programme, the legally required remedy will be provided.
Private sessions require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or non-attendance may result in forfeiture or a disclosed cancellation fee. If BASE cancels, an alternative appointment or appropriate refund will be offered.
Clients must complete required health declarations and advise instructors before class of relevant health conditions, pregnancy, injuries, surgery or changes affecting participation. Clients should follow guidance and work within their capabilities.
Medical clearance may be required when returning after illness, injury or surgery. BASE may decline participation if a class cannot reasonably be delivered safely. BASE provides Pilates instruction, not physiotherapy, medical treatment or rehabilitation. Nothing excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Wear comfortable exercise clothing and grip socks. Bring a water bottle; drinking water is available. Follow instructor directions, clean equipment after use, return props, respect others and silence phones during class.
BASE may address behaviour that affects safety or wellbeing, with any restriction or termination of access handled fairly and lawfully.
Baskets are available for shoes and belongings. Please avoid bringing valuables. BASE is not liable for loss or damage except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
BASE may update class schedules, pricing, offerings and policies. Changes affecting existing memberships will be communicated in accordance with agreements and applicable law, including advance notice where required. Statutory rights remain unaffected.
